After saving the world from the evilish Doctor Funfrock, Twinsen is now ready to face a new threat coming from outer space. With the new studio, we do not want to end the series. Twinsen's Little Big Adventure 2 Classic is a retro action-adventure game originally released in 1997. The script was a first draft written to end the series. That's why last year they released the source code of LBA1 and LBA2, so that the most devoted fans could create their own stories in the beloved universe."e quickly realized that the third game we initially wanted to make-the Genesis of the Stellar Entity-would be strange to make. The creators realize that abandoning plans for the third part may be disappointing for some fans. As a result, it was decided to create a reboot in the form of Twinsen's Little Big Adventure. Therefore, the old plans to develop Little Big Adventure 3: The Stellar Entity Genesis were abandoned, as this part of the series was supposed to end the whole series, and the dcreators want the brand to be developed for a long time. The ambition of 2.21 is to make LBA a large and popular brand. The duo decided to launch a new studio and start working on the next installment of the series. The situation changed in 2021, when Chanfray was contacted by a big fan of Little Big Adventure Benoît Limare, an entrepreneur who specializes in investing in technology companies. The situation was further aggravated by the appearance of the LittleBigPlanet series, due to which the phrase "Little Big." is now associated with this brand, and not with older Adeline Software games. Everything seemed to indicate that players do not show enough interest in the brand to justify creating a third part. Unfortunately, mobile games were not successful, forcing the abandonment of plans associated with porting LBA2 for smartphones and tablets. In 2011, both original games were released on GOG.com, and a port of the first LBA for iOS and Android was prepared together with DotEmu. When announcing plans for the new game, the creator explained why we haven't seen a new game in the series, and explained the reasons behind the decision to prepare a reboot of the brand instead of a traditional sequel. The creators believe, however, that thanks to ingenuity and the use of modern technologies, the developers will be able to create a game that will satisfy both old-time fans and new players.Ģ.21 was founded by Didier Chanfray, the co-founder of Adeline Software and one of the artists responsible for the earlier installments of the series. The devteam will not be too numerous - it will eventually include twelve people, which is a smaller number than in the case of the team responsible for Little Big Adventure 2. The reboot will be titled Twinsen's Little Big Adventure. Now the team revealed that it plans to release the game in 2024 to celebrate the brand's 30th birthday. Studio 2.21 came to existence last September and it was announced at the time that it was working on a new installment of the Little Big Adventure series.
